Summer Skincare Routine For Oily Skin

Posted by Opus Int. on

Summer is right around the corner, and oily-skinned people know what that means: grease galore!

So whatever skincare products you followed in the past seasons, shelve them. Now it’s time for you to follow this summer skincare routine for oily skin:

  1. Cleanse Your Skin Well

Summer can make your face super oily, so be sure to clean it thoroughly once or twice a day. For best results, use an AHA + BHA cleanser. It’s packed with salicylic acid and other fruit acids that cleanse the face thoroughly. It helps refine your pores too!

  1. Keep it Toned

Using a cleanser is good, but it’s not enough. Adding a toner to your routine is recommended, especially if you want to tame your oily skin this summer.

Janssen Cosmetics’ Purifying Tonic helps remove impurities and cleanse pores deeply. It also helps reduce oil production, so your skin looks fresh throughout summer.

  1. Cut the Grease (From Your Moisturizer)

The summer heat will make your skin produce tons of oil, so make sure to cut the grease - at least from your moisturizer.

Instead, use an ultra-light product such as Janssen Cosmetics’ Hydro Active Gel. Its soft gel texture keeps your face hydrated - without making it look like an oil canvas! It also works as a makeup base, so you don’t have to worry about your cosmetics melting away due to the scorching heat.

Talk about hitting two birds with one stone.

  1. Use a Mattifying Cream

Another thing you should include in your summer skincare routine is a mattifying Cream. It helps reduce sebum production for a silky, matte look that lasts all day. It also soothes sun-parched skin while ‘filling up’ your fine lines and wrinkles.

  1. Exfoliate Weekly

Weekly face exfoliation is a must, especially if you want to thoroughly remove oil and dead cell build-up.

Use Bio-Fruit Gel Exfoliator to unclog your pores, reduce inflammation, and smoothen your skin. It can also help lighten dark spots that occur due to summer sun exposure.

  1. Mask Up

Another way to keep your skin slick-free is to use a Purifying Mask. It contains sebum-controlling agents, such as White China Clay, Oleanolic Acid, and Aloe Vera extract. Use this once or twice weekly to achieve a blemish- and inflammation-free, matte complexion.
